1. Starting a container

For example, to start a container from the hello-world image, we would use the following command:

This will start a container and print the "Hello, world!" message to the console.

2. Viewing container information

The docker inspect command can be used to view detailed information about a container or image. The syntax is as follows:

For example, to view information about the current container, we would use the following command:

This will print a JSON object with information about the container, such as its ID, image, and ports.

3. Listing port mappings

This will print a list of the ports that the container is listening on.

4. Viewing resource usage statistics

The docker stats command can be used to view resource usage statistics for one or more containers. The syntax is as follows:

For example, to view resource usage statistics for the current container, we would use the following command:

docker stats $(docker ps -q)

This will print a table with information about the CPU, memory, network, and disk usage of the container.

5. Viewing processes running inside a container

The docker top command can be used to view the processes running inside a container. The syntax is as follows:

docker top <container>

For example, to view the processes running inside the current container, we would use the following command:

docker top $(docker ps -q)

This will print a list of the processes running in the container, along with their PID, CPU usage, and memory usage.

6. Saving an image

The docker save command can be used to save an image to a tar archive. The syntax is as follows:

docker save <image> > <file>

For example, to save the hello-world image to a file called hello-world.tar, we would use the following command:

docker save hello-world > hello-world.tar

7. Loading an image

The docker load command can be used to load an image from a tar archive. The syntax is as follows:

docker load <file>

For example, to load the hello-world.tar file, we would use the following command:

docker load hello-world.tar

This will load the image into Docker and make it available to run.
